Welcome to Medieval Market...

1-4 July.2010 It is one of the best time of year to visit Turku. We went yesterday, traced back to the history, had a wonderful sunny afternoon.
If you are going to miss it this year, please do not forget to stop by next year. I will show you some nice captures through my eyes! I like Turku more and more when there is something interesting like this happening. Otherwise I think it is a small town:)
Have you even been to a Medieval Market?

Water makes a city more beautiful, I think! Even though such a muddy water.:) I heard there are lots of bikes at the bottom, if you lose your bike one day, you know where to look for. right?

 Artistic toilet!
We are entering the Medieval time...
Full of life and smiles! where? He is pointing "there":)

Not a good picture, but tomorrow I am going there again, myself. No need to hurry.
I asked the permission, and took pictures. Creative clocks!

They are writing "crazy paper" or all kinds of funny thing from the old time. He did not allow me to buy one, because he said, it is all printed. Nothing special. hmmm...:(

These shoes are not comfortable, right?
 Fish...fish...fish
He is super scary. Like scary. Must be very warm under the cover, poor thing.

Nice clothes and interesting stuff all around. I can be very amused by all these artistic events! People make so much efforts in it.

They are performing... Such a beautiful day!

This is an artistic picture, I am proud of.

Super daddys! Are they trying to show fathers in old times like these or ... ? Confused, but still super indeed!

I like Turku, appreciated her beauty now and then! Have lived here for 3.5 years, yes, quite long.

I love this color, and this jeep! Is it a jeep even? Beautiful machine1
Walking behind is not a bad thing, captured a romantic picture. :)
After a sightseeing day, we had a super dinner, then walked to our "sunset hill" behind our building. It was a beautiful evening. My vocabulary did not grow so much, only simple words are repeating. :(
It is a tree, beautiful? Sunset!
The truth is here! The previous "tree" is not a real tree:) haha.

A lot of things need to be taken care of before we move away from Turku by the end of this month. We will start an epic trip through Russia, Mongolia, China in August and September. I will try to update as often as possible, please stay tuned. Do not forget to stop by www.bornaa.net for Trans-Siberian trip.

I skiied in Kemi,Lapland once.

In Feburary 2009, I went to Lapland alone...
It was one of the most sunny day with snow all around me, skiing over a lake or sea (not sure), then in a forest all alone. I was quite brave, yes I think so too. My day started with my shadow...
                   Tourist...tourist...tourist... me too:)
Volgograd! This summer will go there by train from Estonia or Finland, will get thousands of pictures with my new camera-Pentax K-x, still in a shop somewhere:)

A beautiful winter in Turku, Kaunis talvi Turussa

This winter is the most beautiful since I came here in 2006. I do not need to travel to Lapland to feel the real snowy world. We stepped out of ferry back from Malta trip, so thrilled to feel the white winter. I love snow! Trees with snow look like elegant girls with white dresses. I walked to school everyday with my camera, and took the beautiful "girls" with my memories... People are looking at me, and I am like a tourist here. Turku is beautiful after all, I appreciate it from time to time. However, I miss my hometown and my dear friends back home. Sometimes I talk with them over internet for the whole Saturday. Asi es la vida:), always need to remind myself of the balance, and the fact that I can not desire all I like. Pros and cons always go hand in hand.
Strange icons happened in this post, I had to delete some photos sorry.

El invierno es hermoso en Finlandia!
A giant tree with "wedding dress", imagine when she starts to walk like in The Lords of the Rings:)

National Park Hiking

Last Friday and Saturday we went hiking in the north west of Finland, near Pori. It was another nice experience of us. :)
I am terribly busy with all studies I have to handle with, so I will try to update and beautify my blog as soon as I can. I will have trips to Germany and China in October, would be hard to spend time with my blog. But I like to write and love to be read and heard. Welcome you to come and read me now and then!:)

We went to Lauhanvuori national park, was really beautiful, but not spactaculous as we imagined. We expected a higher mountain, because vuori=mountain in Finnish. But we have to remember that there are no many high mountains in Finland:) However, we love the lakes and trees with different colors, and I call it a golden autumn! We=me+HIM:)

Take you to the legendary Lapland

Taking a picture with Santa will cost me 25euro, but it was already Feb, otherwise he would have taken picture with me as a present, I guess, because olen kiltti:)

That ticket office was rather cold:)
